Place where I used to be

I miss running to catch trams and trains early in the morning,
I miss the cold chilly morning walks to class,
I miss walking into lecture halls, looking for a secluded empty seat, hurling my bag to the ground and snuggling myself to boring lectures,
I miss asking friends how their day went,
I miss staying up late at Melbourne Uni Law Library,
I miss walking back home alone near midnight feeling happy that another day had went by,
I miss hugging myself under warm jumpers, sweaters and jackets,
I miss long hot showers,
I miss big breakfast,
I miss Latte,
I miss waiting at corners, hitting the pedestrian button repeatedly hoping the green man would appear,
I miss the traffic, the hook turns and driving on tram tracks,
I miss walking in Safeway Woolworth, looking for specials of the week,
I miss Freddo, Pho, Hungry Jack’s,
The list can go on, and on, and on
I miss lots of places and people in life,
and I know,
I know that these events I can’t re-live,
and the people who used to be so near, are now far away.
I miss all of you dearly.
